Sunday 15th October.

FC Barca  5 Rotherham Athletic 3

FC Barca opened the proceedings with a hard worked 5-3 win over Rotherham Athletic. FC Barca always looked winners with having extra legs on the substitute’s bench.  The second period opened with Barca 1-0 in front, an uneasy unconvincing lead. That all changed as Barca took control of the game in the second period. The 5-3 score flattered Rotherham.

Rotherham Athletic
R Kitchine 2   OG 1
FC Barca:
R Lake 1  B Honeyman 1  R Oxcley 2  N Black 1     Yellow Card M Norris

Doncaster College for Deaf 9 York University 5

York had not played for several weeks, whilst Doncaster had had any number of games recently.  York as might be expected looked ‘ring  rusty’.  It was a credit to them that they kept the score tight until a late flurry took Doncaster past the finish line.

York:  Dan Depledge 4  M McKay 1
Doncaster Deaf College :  D Hogan 2  C Naylor 1  A Dazziel 1  J Atkinson 4  Og 1

Team Birmingham 6  FC Barca 1

Fire work night a couple of weeks early.  A highly competitive match, at times over competitive;  which spoiled  the game for spectators, players and officials. Booth teams have players with ability, those talents need harnessing.

Team Birmingham:  S Islam 1  H Nawa 4  S Sidiq 1
H Nawa Yellow, J Mohmound Yellow

FC Barca: N Black 1
