Hull Grass Roots had the opportunity to play in the Futsal tournament in Barcelona 17-22 July. We took 2 teams under 14 and under 16 to represent Hull and England (we were the only teams from England). We played teams from Scotlland, Spain Gambia, Papa new guinea, Morocco, Romania. Our under 16's team came up against Spain in the final only to lose 3-1. Our under 14's team came up against Gambia in their final and WON 12-2, so we are now the under 14 champions in Barcelona.[smile]

Many people will not be aware that the grass roots lads first started playing on the local park, got more organised, started a 5 aside league, changed to futsal and have ended up winning in Barcelona, via tournaments in Scotland and playing visiting Australians, some story, some achievment.
