Red Alert Take over at the Top

Red Alert took over at the top of the Senior Division on Friday night with a 10-6 win over A Team, They have now moved into a 2 point lead knocking A Team off the top sport for the first time this season.

A Team started well but let Red Alert back into the game in the second half Michael banged n 4 goals for A Team and one each for Adam and Ryan completed their scoring.
For Red Alert the scoring was more spread around, David grabbed a Hat-Trick, Barish and Perry score 2 each with the other goals going to Keiron, Ben and Alex.
Some good keeping from Kered kept out A Team as well

We have not had any news this week with regards to Allstars so for the present we only be having the one match in the senior division and that would be the title decided between Red Alert and A Team

I am going to keep that one on hold for a while and get some of the cup matches left to be played out of the way

N9 hold onto top spot

N9 Soldiers held onto their top spot on Friday night in a game that could have seen Stanmore take over again as leaders had they the onto their first half lead

Stanmore started well and moved into a good lead early on and then pushed it to make it an impressive 4-2 at half time.

The second half saw N9 step up the pace and they slowly pulled back the score to level things up at 7-7 with only a few minutes left to play. The momentum the had gained then push them over the line finally getting a 10 7 victory and 3 valuable points

Scorers for Stanmore were Charlie and Dean with 2 each Alfee and Craig grabbed one each to completed the score for N9 Soldiers Jerome found the net 4 times, Troy grabbed a hat-trick along with Malaki or Makachi a good performance form Tony’s team

The other game on Friday saw the 2 Sailsbury Sides match up against each other
Stars started with only 4 players but managed to go into a 2-0 lead before gaining the final player.

They moved into a 6-0 lead by the half waypoint and Eagles did not appear to have anything in reply.

The second half was the same with Stars once again the better side, the lead increased to 10-0 before Bashi decided it was enough and banged a shot in from the kick off to make it 10-1
There was another Stars goals in the final minutes to make it 11-1 and give Stars the points.

They have now moved onto 7 points level with Stanmore, but they have played more games then them and N9 above that so a run for the title is possible but going to be hard

Youth Girls League
We are advertising for Girls Sides to join the
Enfield Futsal league
The Middlesex County FA Registrations Dept has said we can form a Girls Division in our league without any extra paperwork
So all we really need now is teams

So if you have and sisters or girlfriend that like playing football ask tell them about Futsal and lets see if we can get something going.

Last weekend we placed adverts in Southbury Leisure Centre
And they went fast and had to be replaced on Monday so lets hope that gets a response.

At present we are unsure of the night games will be played but we are looking at Friday night at Aspire if we move the older boys to Monday at Edmonton with the Adult League.

Contact Rob Brassett for more details

HULL
AUGUST 2007

Adult Competition
Cost per team is £60 and a place is reserved for a team from our league to enter, Not being unkind to any team but the standard is very high so I would suggest you think hard before saying you will enter a team
I would like to suggest we try and form a Rep Team from the league with 10 to 12 players from a mix of teams making up the squad if possible.
I have been looking into travel cost and the train is cheap route to journey is not suitable as there is not an early Saturday train to get there in time.

Travelling by car would take about 4 hours I am also trying to arrange something via the Enfield Council and their mini busses

Youth Competition
As for the Youth competition this is split into age groups
I believe we could go with 3 teams of players
At under 16 under 14 and under 12
Again the entry fee is about £60 a team this is being worked out ay present
Travel would also have to be via the Council Mini Busses if possible
As that would keep the cost down as well
I will be talking to everyone on Friday and over the next week about this

Come and play 5-a-Side
