NORTH SIDE V SANTOS JUNIORS
North Side matched up against Santos Juniors on Tuesday night in the first game of the evening. Santos moved into an early lead and increased it to hold a commanding 4-0 lead at half time.
The second half saw North Side score first, but Santos were not going to let them back into the game and before the final whistle, the managed to score 2 more goals to give them a final score line of 6-1.
Scorers
North Side – Calvin
Santos Juniors – Antony 2, Liam, Jay, Dan O, Riche
W.E. BOIZ V SOUTHBURY ALLSTARS
A game that was billed as a local derby saw the W.E. Boiz who play in the Southbury 7’s, having just retained the League title, against the Southbury Staff.
In a very fast and physical game it was the W.E. Boiz who scored first after just 49 seconds. They then increased their lead to 2-0 before the Allstars came back to make it 2-1.
Before the break each team found the net again so at half time Allstars only went in one goal down
The Second Half saw the score go to 4-2 then back to 4-3 early on, then the W.E. Boiz stepped things up and went into a 6-3 lead.
For the first time this season the long penalty came into effect for the last 3 goals of the game.
With W.E. Boiz committing the 4th foul the game went into long penalties and Southbury managed to gain from it getting two chances and scoring from both to make it 6-5 with 2 minutes to go.
Southbury then committed their 4th foul and so the W.E. Boiz got the chance to take the points and did so with a cracking penalty.
Scorers
W.E. Boiz – Aaron 2, Grant 2, Justin, Kirt, Leon
Southbury Allstars – Leon 3, Yas, Stephen
INTER AFC V LEGENDS
Inter AFC who were runner/up behind W.E. Boiz in the 1st season of Futsal have returned with a stronger side and a different colour kit. They matched up against Legends, another side moving into Futsal from the Southbury 7’s competition.
Legends started well and went into a 2-0 lead early in the half, and looked to be holding it up to half time, but Inter managed to find the net just before the whistle and went in 2-1 down.
In the second half, Inter stepped up the pace and it paid off, as they levelled things up at 2-2 before going into a 3-2 lead. Legends were not giving up and scored a 3rd goal to get things back level once again with plenty of time to play.
Inter again stepped things up and went into the lead once again finding a 4th goal and it looked like they had done enough to take all three points. BUT legends still had something left and managed to pull things back level to 4-4 with 2 minutes to go.
Scorers
Inter AFC – Hatim 3, Aqub
Legends – Jimmy, Corey, Dawit, Joe
INTER SONY V CRAIG’S
Inter Sony are finding their feet when it comes to playing Futsal and they seem to be enjoying the experience, but so far have been on the end of a couple of big defeats. Craig’s on the other hand have been playing Futsal for a few months and as Champions of Season 2, are always a hard side to beat on their day.
So the last game of the night was set up to be a cracking encounter. Craig’s went into a 1-0 lead early in the game and playing some good futsal managed to increase their lead to 6-0 by half time. Sony had their fair share of chances as well, making the Craig’s players work hard for their lead.
The second half followed the same pattern as Craig’s made it 7-0 early on in the half. Sony still pushing and playing some good passing Futsal managed to break through the Craig’s defence and Jamie banged in a great goal to make it 7-1.
As the game went on Craig’s were in total control of the play and managed to score 4 more goals to give them an impressive 11-1 victory.
Inter Sony played some good Futsal in places and did not give up even though Craig’s were a better side. They have also shown they are capable of finding the net as they did against Southbury Allstars.
Scorers
Inter Sony - Jamie
Craig’s – Chris 6, Craig 2, James, Ross, Reece
Last Sunday
We managed to get 2 matches played last Sunday after some confusion as to who could and could not play. Inter Sony Matched up against Santos Juniors,
and North Side (formally Blackjacks & $) met Inter Sony.
Inter Sony 5 v 12 Santos Juniors
Santos picked up a big win and moved into top spot in the league
Scorers
Inter Sony – Paul 2, Andrew 2, Douglas
Santos Juniors – Michael 4, Liam 3, Richie 3
NORTH SIDE 5 V 4 Inter Sony
North Side picked up their 1st points of the season in this narrow win over Inter Sony.
Scorers
North Side – Jerome 3, Lindon, Calvin
Inter Sony – Paul 3, Andrew
Please Note
The situation with regards to Substitutions
The player leaving the field of play must be fully off the pitch before the
players coming on enters the field of play.
We have noticed some players are on the pitch before the players coming off are even close to the touchline.
This could result in a booking for both players
So be warned.

Senior Division
The Senior Division is now down to 3 teams with Futsal Allstars not arriving to play their fixtures over the past few weeks. On this note, the league would like to wish our top scorer from last season, Josh Ottley a speedy recovery after his recent meeting with some unfriendly types.
Any players in the Futsal Allstars team wishing to join other sides are more than welcome to do so, and if they wish to re-form into a side and re-join the league a place would be made available for them.
I am also going to talk to the 3 Senior Teams about joining up with the Adult League as well when it gets started at the New Edmonton Leisure Centre.
This would give all the players some good experience playing older players and also get them used to playing older and other teams before we travel; as hoped, to Hull in July for the National Competition.

N9 Soldiers 0 v 10 Red Alert
Red Alert went goal crazy in the cup and gave us one of the best performances we have seen for a while on a Friday night.
