ROCHDALE AFC JOIN LIST OF CLUBS OFFERING NEW FUTSAL SCHOLARSHIP

Rochdale AFC’s Football in the Community Trust is offering aspiring footballers, aged 16-19, the opportunity to pursue a Futsal and Education Scholarship.

Do you want to:
- Get a first class education that will get you to University?
- Gain qualifications to work in the sports industry?
- train and compete in a professional futsal environment?
- Represent your local professional club?
- Become a Futsal player, coach or referee?

All training/education will be undertaken at Rochdale AFC plus games will take place in a Wednesday futsal league against eleven other clubs in the North West region i.e Blackpool, Bury, Oldham Athletic.

Futsal is the only form of indoor football approved by FIFA, UEFA and the FA. With over 2 million players regularly participating in the fast-paced 5-a-side action, Futsal is globally recognised as one of the fastest growing indoor sports in the world. Futsal is still very much in its infancy in England and on current standings in both the men’s and women’s game, the national teams lie outside the top twenty five in the world – maybe this could be a chance for you to play at a high standard and compete in future World Cups or UEFA tournaments.
